I graduated Cum laude from the Royal Academy of Arts in the Hague in 1985. I was born and raised in the Hague, The Netherlands. My occupations since 1989 are being an artist, a graphic designer, illustrator and teacher. I own Haags Mozaïek & Zilver Atelier Wapiti, previously known as Galerie Wapiti. In my life I have been influenced by various cultures. The name wapiti is related to the Native American culture.
In the last couple of years I have specialized in mosaic & silver because of its intrinsic beauty and its versatility.
Giving workshops is very fulfilling. They are very inspiring & fun for both the students and me.
I also work on commission for companies & private persons. The commissions include large mosaic projects on schools, companies and private institutions. I also create custom jewelry, for that special occasion or that special person.
It is so nice to be creative. Wapiti has a pleasant and easy atmosphere. A place where you can develop yourself, find inspiration and get skilled in various creative techniques. You will be challenged to go beyond what you know about yourself and be amazed with your own creations. You are always personally guided with expertise & enthusiasm.
